Find Spot record 3927/1/0 - Romano-British Pottery & Iron Slag

A Romano-British smelting site of the 2nd century AD was reportedly seen and photographed by Mr BF Dix in April 1967. He indicated the approximate location to an Ordnance Survey field investigator in 1969. Iron slag and 2nd century potsherds were found, the pottery now being in Kettering Museum. The site has since been destroyed by quarrying.
