Summary
Fragments of an Romano-British quern were found in 1952 by Mr Goode while quarry working at approximately SP 852832. The finds went either to Leicester or London (though where in Leicester or London is not made clear!).

Full Description
{1} Find of a Romano-British quern fragment.
{2} Metal detecting survey recovered: lead scraps with rope design (possibly related to the lead tank found at the adjacent villa site), 27 Roman coins dating from AD138 to AD383, and sundry other undated metal objects.
{3} Fragments of an RB quern were found in 1952 by Mr Goode while quarry working at approx SP 852832.
The finds went either to Leicester or London.
