Monument record 4013/1/1 - Site of Bronze Age burials, Paddock Lane

Bronze Age pottery, possibly indicative of cremations, found in Paddock Lane in 1911.

{1} Bronze Age burials (SP 80408318) found in 1911 during demolition work in Paddock Lane on the S of the town, on sand at 122m above OD. Two Collared Urns were discovered. One is of the Primary Series, the other of the Secondary Series.

{4} SP 80408318. Two Bronze Age overhanging rim urns were found in 1911 at a garage site in Paddock Lane. The present owner is A.J Pickering, "Abbey Craig", Hinckley Leics.

{5} Northampton Museum record this find as being made in 1911 during the demolition of cottages. The indicated find spot is now occupied by a factory.
