Full Description

{1} Find made pre 1953 of a Palaeolithic flint hand axe; possibly not from Corby?

{4} Hand-axe from SP880885.

{5} Palaeolithic handaxe said to have been found at Corby. In possession of Mrs. Christie, Longcroft, Alderton, Nr. Towcester. `Doubtful' {7}. Found before 1953. A handaxe of black flint, unrolled. Location not certain{1}.

{6} An interview with Mrs Christie suggested that the axe was found elsewhere and not at Corby.
