Full Description

{1} Find; pre 1900, unlocated. Iron Age gold stater inscribed 'TAVN' Brigantes. Mack type 457. Obverse: Wreath crossed by lyre, Reverse: 'ANA' above 'T' below disjointed horse. Found somewhere between Kettering and Corby.

{7} An Iron Age gold stater now in Northampton Museum, Acc. No: D117/1958-9, was found between Kettering and Corby. It was purchased from Mr Godfrey. Inscribed TAVN - of the Brigantes. Mack type: 457. Obv: Crude wreath crossed by lire ending in beaded circles enclosing pellets.

Rev: AVN above, and T below, a disjointed horse.
