Find Spot record 4458/0/1 - Neolithic/Bronze Age flint tools

Flint scatter at Brampton Grange, plus flints collected in Chapel Brampton parish

{1} Fieldwalking produced Neolithic and Bronze Age flint scrapers and cores. The flints were spread over much of the surrounding area, but concentrated as ngr SP72376653.

{2] Mr Moore retains many worked flints he has found in the parish of Chapel Brampton, the main concentrations being centred to SP 7237 6653 and SP 7277 6525. The flints have been found while fieldwalking from 1964 onwards and range from Ne-BA (a). Most of the land in this parish is arable. No finds were made at the two centres of concentration.

{4} SP 729 657 Brampton Grange. Several worked flints including scrapers and cores found October 1964 onwards.
