Full Description

{1}In the extreme north-east of the parish on Northampton Sand at 100m above OD. SP 765667 Several RB coarse sherds found on spoil heaps at a disused iron-stone quarry in 1970. SP 765667 RCHM Inventory records air photographs (in NMR) showing indistinct cropmarks in this area covering 6ha.Possibly a settlement site.

{2} Several sherds of Romano-British coarsewares were found on spoil heaps at a disused ironstone quarry (described as from Moulton).
