Type and Period (2)

Full Description

{1} The park, covering 25ha, is still bounded by an almost continuous circular hedge except to the south east corner, where there is a broad gap. For most of its length this hedge is on a low hedge-bank of no apparent antiquity, though in places it rises to as much as 1.5m high and 10m wide. Ridge and furrow visible within the interior and at one point appears to underlie the bank in the north west.

{2} On the Tithe Map, two adjacent fields, one inside the park and one outside, are called The Park.
