Full Description

{1} Pond (SP 711534) lies in the SE of the parish, immediately NW of Gayton Wood House. A small triangular fishpond in the bottom of a small east draining valley on Upper Lias Clay at 115 m. above OD. It has a large dam 60m long x 14m wide x up to 2m high which carries the track to Gayton Wood House.

{2} Described as "fishpond" in 1841.

{3} The description given by authority {1} is consistent with this in fact being the pond marked at SP 711535 on OS 10:000 sheets, 100 m north of the grid reference given by authority {1};
