Full Description

{1} Bronze Age palstave found near Stoke Plain pre 1904.

{2} Mr T Phipps, of Plain Farm, Stoke Bruerne ('Stoke Plain' (SP 7350) found a bronze palstave, now in Northampton museum.

{4} Mr Irlam the present owner of Plain farm said that Mr Phipps left this farm in 1930 and is now dead. Northampton museum retain a palstave from Stoke Bruerne but have no information re a precise site.
