Summary

Grave discovered during works to lower level of previous floor to allow new floor to be constructed. The grave lay below the foundations for the east wall of the aisle.

Full Description

{1} Grave discovered during works to lower level of previous floor to allow new floor to be constructed. Grave almost central at the east end fo the south aisle. The east end of the grave lay below the foundations of the east wall of the aisle. The skeleton was covered by a plain slab c.60cm wide. Slab was c.25cm clear of the base of the grave, without infilling under the slab. Slab appears to have been intact prior to uncovering, as was burial.
