Full Description

{1} Quinton Site D. During the cleaning and re-digging of the western boundary ditch of Great Holt, a well-constructed stone wall was found in the side of the ditch. This may form the end wall of a building. It was cleaned and photographed. No dateable evidence was found but the style of the stonework, which reached seven courses at the corners, appeared to be similar to that of the C14th on the nearby moated site [Mon 94/1]. Fieldwork by R.M.Taylor.
