Full Description

{1} Find made in 1972. Prehistoric flint axe found by farmer O. Ransom. Still in his possession in 1974.

{2} SP 77414862. A Neolithic polished flint axe was found after ploughing by O Ransom (the farmer) N of Gordon's Lodge Farm in 1971.
The axe measures about 3 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide, and has been slightly chipped by frost and plouging. Ransom indicated the
find spot on the ground, and has retained the axe. Find spot surveyed at 1:2500.
