Full Description

{1}Find made in 1897; a late Bronze Age socketed axe-head was found near Martin's Brickyard; SP 7478 6172.

{6} (SP 74786172) Bronze socketed and looped celt, now in Northampton Museum.

{7} Purchased by the Museum in 1897. The circumstances of find are not recorded.

[8} The Museum records this LBA axe as from Mr Martin's brick pit near Spencer Bridge.
On OS 6"1924 Brick Works are published at SP 7475 6150
