Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking in January 1977. Over 100 prehistoric worked flints recovered including cores, flakes and scrapers. No distinct nucleus detected, but may suggest a site. The northern half of the field had very poor soil conditions and very few finds were detected. SP71355885.

{2} Prehistoric Settlement (SP 71355885), N. of M1 motorway, on river gravel, at 65 m. above OD. A surface scatter of about 100 worked flints was discovered during field-walking in 1977.
