Full Description

{1} Roman Settlement (?) (SP 940865), N.N.W. of the village, within Old Dry Hills Wood, on Boulder Clay at 86m. above OD. According to local information, 'pots and coins' and stone were found here some years ago. More recently, Roman pottery has been discovered in some quantity in the wood.
