Summary

Cropmarks of enclosures immediately north of Drayton House, identified from aerial photographs. The main enclosures is rectangular in plan, measuring 20 metres by 50 metres and orientated northwest-southeast; subsidiary enclosures are in the west and east corners. A second enclosure, 12 metres square, is visible 70 metres to the northeast.

Full Description

{1} Enclosures (SP 963803) immediately N of Drayton House on limestone at 70 m above OD. Air photographs (in NMR) show a rectangular enclosure 20 m by 50 m, orientated north-west-south-east, with subsidiary enclosures in the west and east corners. A second enclosure only 12 m square is visible 70 m to the north-east.
