Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking survey undertaken in March 1991 found five sherds of of Roman Nene Valley Colour-Coated Ware, 59 sherds of medieval pottery, oyster shell and furnace slag all over the field, especially in the southern part of the field. There was a dark patch of soil near the bend in the track and many patches of stone in the adjacent area;

{2} Sigificant slag scatter and a Saxon sherd and a fine Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowhead in upland slade with a narrow belt of limestone.
