Full Description
{1} Two grid refs. Were suggested for the site of a medieval chapel (SP 6232 5904 or SP6915 5892) [Source for these grid refs. Is unknown]. Inspection and enquiries in the locations revealed no trace of structural evidence of a chapel. However, it is possible that the idea of a chapel is confused with remnants of medieval stonework found at Fernhollow Farm (SP 6202 5887).
{2} A photograph, which a local resident believes shows a former chapel amoungst a group of brick buildings in a farmyard. Present information indicates that this is located at approx SP 6193 5884.
{3} A black and white photocopy of a photograph. The owner of the photograph reports that one of the Miss Russel sisters (former residents of The Dairy Farm, Upper Weedon) said that one of the buildings at the rear of the farm was a former chapel. Recent observations, from a distance, suggests that this theory is doubtful.
