Summary

Formal gardens to Sulgrave Manor, remodelled by Sir Reginald Blomfield between 1920 and 1928. Very little is known of the the earlier garden layout.

Full Description

{2} Formal flower gardens to Sulgrave Manor, created during the 1920s. Features include lawns with a topiary garden and an orchard.

{5} The formal layout of the 1920s was made at the same time as the restoration of the C16th manor by Sir Reginald Blomfield. It covers 3.5ha and contains flower/ herb beds, topiary, an orchard as well as wide lawns. It is also walled. The manor was the former home of George Washington's family
