Full Description

{3} In 1830 Baker said this was the most prominent 'tumulus' on Borough Hill. By 1932 Edgar noted that it was 'visible but inconspicuous'. No trace now remains.

{5} In southern part of hillfort near highest point of hill are remains of Bronze Age bowl barrow; in the early C19th this was a substantial earthwork but was subsequently levelled by ploughing;

{6} In 1991 there appeared to be a low rise where the barrow is located on early maps. An evaluation trench was cut but no barrow ditch was located.

{8} Site only. No remains.
