Summary

Trial trench excavation identified two postholes and a small pit found cut into natural gravel. All features are probably recent. Two sherds of medieval pottery were also found.

Full Description

{1} A small evaluation exposed several minor features cut into natural gravel. These and overlying horizons appear to be of recent origin. Apart from the presence of two unstratified 12th-13th century pottery sherds no evidence for medieval activity was observed.

{2} Trial Excavation on 5/9/1991 by G.Cadman; 2 postholes and a small pit found cut into natural gravel. All probably recent. Finds of modern pottery as well as 2 sherds of C12/13th fabric. All were unstratified.
