Full Description

{1} An excavation by G. Brown in 1964 uncovered a small amount of Romano-British pottery

{2} Beneath a medieval occupation-layer, several road surfaces of hard metalling raised on layers of gravel containing Romano-British sherds. A medieval stone wall lay at right angles across the top-most road surface.
