Monument record 1160/207/2 - Medieval Charcoal Filled Pit, between Silver Street and Bearward Street

A medieval pot was found in a pit in a new drain trench on land between Silver Street and Bearward Street in 1971.

{1}Joining fragments of green glazed medieval jug with brown chevron decoration & horizontal rilling; probably C14th; from charcoal filled pit in new drain trench about 30 yds west of where the shoes and leather were found (1160/192/1);
