Summary

Manor house with possible remains of a moat at Cosgrove. The manor house has been restored on several occasions, and none of the exterior features appears to be earlier than the 18th century. An outbuilding bears the date of 1676.

Full Description

{1} The Priory. Possible post medieval standing building. The manor house stands within a moat.

{2} The manor house of Cosgrove, now usually designated The Priory, stands about half a mile N of the village. It was the residence of Lord Lynedoch, now Sir Rob Moorson.

{3} The manor house has been restored on several occasions, the most recent in the early 20th century. None of the exterior architecture appears earlier than the 18th century. An outbuilding bears the date 1676.
