Full Description

{1} At SP 843902, during excavation in 1963, one or two corn-drying ovens and masonry foundations including those of a rectangular building were found. Roman pottery ranging from the 2nd to the 4th century was present, and also coins, including examples of Gallienus, Victorinus and Constantine the Great.

{3} SP 843902. The discovery of Roman pottery and probable building foundations in the field called Bury Fields during building and road widening resulted in excavations in 1963, by the Corby NHAS.
Two coins of Constantine the Great and one each of (possibly) Gallienus and Victorinus plus C2nd to C4th pottery were found.
