Summary
Observation of building work in 1976 identified possible metalled areas and stone walls, although no definite features were identified. Pottery recovered from the spoil heaps dated to the early-middle Saxon, Saxo-Norman and later medieval periods.

Full Description
{1} Observation during building development in 1976 revealed a possible metalled area and stone walls. No definite features were recognised but areas of stone may indicate medieval building debris or a yard area. Pottery was recovered from spoil heaps and included unstratified early-middle Saxon, medieval and post medieval pot sherds.
