Full Description
{1} Observation of metalled area; report of area of "gravel and/or pebbles running east to west to immediate south of house". Possible early road surface, but may equally relate to a bank seen immediately to west on earthwork plan. Cropmark is visible at ground level as a linear parch mark exposed in dry summer conditions. It was traceable across the football field to the east of the house. Possibly a road.
