Roman pottery, coins and occupation debris have been recovered from the site, some of which have been given to Northampton Museum.

Full Description
{1} 'Some pieces of Roman money' were ploughed up here before 1720;
(4)Adjacent earthworks interpreted as 'Cotton Camp' Roman; incorrect; OS quote ref 4;
{5} Finds; C18th; a few Roman coins were found "above the place called Mallows Cotton"; OS quote ref 1; probably area SP980737;
{6} Samian and Castor ware,also a stone scatter,found at SP 97857315 by Mr Rollings in April 1964.
{7} Mr Rollings indicated that the finds in his possession came from an area centred to SP 97837320.
The site is now under plough and a heavy scatter of RB occupation debris was seen at the site. Some surface finds were given to Northampton Museum, but were insufficient to substantiate a Ro.building
