{2} Lutyens involvement.
{6} The gardens were laid out by Gertrude Jekyll and Lutyens in 1897, but only a fragment of the formal rose garden survives.

{8} Part of the parish is old inclosure, the rest open field. The Lordship is divided between Sr John of Bletsoe, successor to Andrews family, Sir Justinian Isham of Lamport, Sir John Hamble of Thorp Underwood and William Ward of Houghton, Esq.
