Full Description

{1} Iron Age and Roman Settlement And Kilns (centred SP 815604). Surface finds include Iron Age and Roman pottery, worked flints and scatters of stone, as well as firebars, a Roman bronze brooch and one coin. Air photographs {3} show a complex group of rectangular enclosures and associated ditches

{?} In 1959 a 1st century bronze brooch with perforated catchplate was found.

{2} Cropmarks of enclosures. Field name: Pylon Field.
