Monument record 2104/0/1 - Probable Iron Age settlement, east of Clifford Hill

A ditch and pits, associated with probable Iron Age pottery, were noted here after deep ploughing in 1964.

{1} Fieldwalking survey undertaken in 1964. Ditch, pits and pot sherds. Iron Age or possibly Saxon. Fieldname: Egg Spinney Field.

{5} R Hollowell confirms the find spot but is not too happy about the classifications. Sherds now lost. Site under corn.
Northampton museum have no additonal information. R Moore (Keeper) has not seen the material.
