Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking in 1968 recovered Romano-British pot sherds including small fragments of Samian ware, sherds of imitation Samian form 31, colour coated ware, Mortaria sherds, coarse greyware and coarse shelly ware. 2 sherds of medieval pottery were also found.

{4} Mrs J Brassington has in her possession the above finds made in July 1968 and indicated a more accurate site at SP 96148408; which is now under crop.
