Monument record 2941/0/1 - Possible Prehistoric Round Barrow

Possible circlular cropmark seen from the air.

{1} Listed under Brixworth parish. SP 728 712: A circle was seen from the air by R Hollowell in 1967. Nothing visible in this area on APs.

{2} In the area of SP728712 is a ring ditch photographed from the air in 1967.

{3} SP72707124. Air photos (not seen by RCHME) are said to show cropmarks of a ring ditch.

{4} Cropmark ring ditch. No air photos have been traced.

{5} Mr Hollowell cannot, at the moment, trace a photograph covering this site. Situated at SP 7270 7124 is a light patch visible in heavy plough, which is probably the circle. No surface finds were made during investigation and the farmer states that nothing has been found during his tenancy.
