Full Description

{1} West of the village, on limestone at 63m above OD. During trial excavations [on the medieval settlement remains], late Iron Age ditches containing pottery and antlers were discovered;

{3} IA 'B' ditches with pottery, antlers etc, found by preliminary excavation by Hall and Nickerson at 900618 in the
parish of Strixton.

{4} Mr Hall said the finds were made in an excavation of a medieval site which is part of the contracted village of Strixton.
