Full Description

{1} SP871595. Roman sherds found by Hollowell whilst fieldwalking in spring 1966.

{2} Area of SP871596. Roman grey ware and Samian was found in 1966.


{3} More Roman sherds have been found near to Site 8 at SP871595.

{6} Fieldwalking in 1966 by Hollowell revealed Romano-British pot sherds including grey ware and samian. There is inconsistency over the actual grid reference. Northampton Museum gives ngr SP871596.

{7} SP871596. Roman sherds found by fieldwalking in February 1966 by R.Hollowell.

{8} R Hollowell confirms the area but did not retain the 2 sherds he found. The site is under corn stubble; no finds were made during investigation.
