Full Description
{1} Features. Pits and a ditch. Possible quarry pits. Romano-British grey ware sherd from the top of the pit. Also to the north-east a ditch with Romano-British coarse ware was recorded in 1978 during by-pass road works. A ditch was filled with black sooty clay which may be associated with kilns.
{5} South Houghton prehistoric and Roman complex. Pits and a ditch with Roman pottery at SP80225929.
