{5} A possible Roman mosiac or tesselated pavement was observed- 'it is indeed said that something in the nature of a Romano-British pavement was found in the heart of the town some 18 years since when Messrs Reesby & Palmers High Street Restaurant was erected but this statement has not been verified';
