Full Description
{1} Romano-British well, 4.2m deep, and Romano-British pot sherds
{2} Iron Age and Roman Settlement (SP 873674), N. and E. of Westfield Lodge, on limestone at 91m. above OD. Air photographs shows a series
of sub-rectangular and circular enclosures associated with lengths of ditch.
{3} (SO 87396709) "Stanwell Well" - 13' deep. RB sherds found Dec 1962 (near end of Stanwell Way) by Mr D Jackson.
{4} Mrs Watkins of the W&DAS said that the well was situated 70 ft west of the junction of Stanwell Way and Risbin Avenue. This sites it to approx SP 87236751; the well was not preserved and the sherds have been lost.
