Full Description

{1} Find of an Iron Age coin of Cunobelinus; obverse shows an ear of corn and reverse a horse and 'cuno'; also a green glass bead with blue transverse decoration. Found in a 'woad ground at Dingley'; now lost;

{2} A glass bead, 'found in a Woad-Ground at Dingly... is of a Green colour. It seems to have been glazed at
least in some Parts of it with Blue, and is adorn'd with transverse streaks or furrows'. 'From the same Woad-Ground at Dinley where the Green and transversely furrow'd Bead was found, I have received a coin of King Cunobelin. It has on one side an Ear of Corn, with the inscription Camu: on the other a Horse and underneath Cuno'. It is gold 'with a mixture of silver or some coarser metal'. Illustration;
