Summary

An undated glass bead was found at a gravel pit in Oxendon.

Full Description

{1} A glass bead of 'a deep and bright azure has been found digging in a gravel pit at Oxendon'.

{2} The bead is similar to one found at Rothwell but only two-thirds the size.

{3} No further information was gained in field investigation. Nothing was known of the bead at Leicester, Northampton and Market Harborough Museums.
