Full Description

{1} Brampton, SP724654. Two rectangular enclosures.

{2}Enclosures (?) (SP 724653),S of the village,on Northampton Sand at 100m.above OD.Air photographs (in NMR) show 2 incomplete rectangular enclosures which may be connected with the linear features to the E.Worked flints including 2 barbed-and-tanged arrowheads have been found on the site.

{3} Two rectangular enclosures found by aerial photography in 1967.

{4} The site is on level arable land at SP 724653. There are no surface indications.

{6} Church Brampton, fieldwalking in 1971 by Trinity Grammar School Archaeological Society. At SP72436535 were found one possible scraper, seven worked flakes and two barbed and tanged arrowheads from SP72396533 and SP72456538.
