Full Description

{1}Dark earth revealed in construction trench presumed to be pit or ditch fill; unstratified pottery recovered included 3 possible modern sherds as well as 108 Belgic/Romano-British sherds; dated to C1st-C2nd AD; included shelly & grogged wares;,

{2}Roman pottery recovered from a watching brief carried out at 6 Peveril's Way;,

{3}Over 100 sherds of Belgic/Roman pottery dating to late C1st-C2nd AD; retrieved from "dark earth" exposed by construction trenches in rear garden of 6 Peveril's Way; pot retained by owner; possibly associated with adjacent Roman town of Duston;
