Summary
A watching brief undertaken during the development of the Girls School identified a small number of undated features. These are likely to be associated with nearby Iron Age and Roman activity.

Full Description
{1} A watching Brief undertaken on the 31/10/90 by G Cadman during the development of the Girls High School (phase 2), revealed 2 possible small pits and 3 possible postholes at SP76255732. There was also a possible 1m wide ditch orientatyed NE-SW at SP76295738. There were a few more features thought to be present, but the conditions were too poor to be sure. No finds were recovered.
Possibly Iron Age or Romano-British and associated with nearby activity.
