Monument record 5108/0/1 - Iron Age and/or Roman settlement, Moulton Park

Possible ring ditches were seen on air photographs. A 1st century ditch was revealed during the construction of a new road in 1970.

{1} Ring ditches have also been noted on air photographs (not seen by NDC or RCHME) at c SP 778648. A trial excavation in 1971 located a small ditch containing Roman pottery of the 1st century AD. Now built over.

{2} A small ditch of first century date was cut through by a strip bulldozed for a new road on the Moulton Park Industrial Estate. Further development may reveal more features.
