One of two probable settlements identified by fieldwalking and located either side of a small tributary of the River Great Ouse.

Full Description

{1}Excavation of 8 trenches within 2 areas of dense pottery concentration; features found within trenches but detailed excavation impossible due to dry conditions; 85 sherds of pottery recovered from fills of which 73 were early-middle Saxon; uncertain whether features actually Saxon or contained residual material.

{3}Early-middle Saxon pottery was recovered from base of ploughsoil during excavation; indistinct features in trenches were sampled & Saxon pottery was retrieved from some.
