The sluice is all that remains of the post-medieval watermill.

Full Description

{1} Features observed 27/01/1992 by G.Cadman. A survey of the land adjacent to The Willow Brook identified revetted stream courses and the site of undated but relatively recent sluices.

{3} Places the sluice on the west side of the road, on a brook probably made as a waterway to let the Willow Brook into the River Nene. Bridges refers to the brook as 'the millbrooke'.

{4} The sluice gates are all that remain of the post medieval watermill, everything else has been demolished.
