Full Description

{1} FINDS;1962;ROMANO-BRITISH POT SHERDS & ROOF TILES & OYSTER SHELLS;

POSS SAME SITE AS<<RN:0791015>>;(2);

{3} Mr Londesborough is now dead. Mr Challands said that in 1962 he found RB occupation debris from the area centred TL 071913. His finds included grey, shelley and colour coated potsherds, rooftile and oyster shells. These are now in Peterborough Museum.

The area is at present under crop and partly occupied by a sewage
farm. No surface finds made.

{4} A rectangular enclosure located at (TL 075912) and a possible small rectangular building located at (TL 073912). Both sites identified on AP in 1979.

{5} Roman settlement (TL 071913) Two Roman spindle whorls have been found on this site.

{6} [Area cent. TL 07009120] Much Roman pottery found in corner of field.
