Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking recovered Romano-British pot sherds including greyware, colour-coated ware and samian. Also Roof tile.

{3} Roman Settlement (TL 01439110), on the S. side of Short Wood, on Boulder Clay at 62m. above OD. An area of Roman pottery, including Nene Valley types and samian, and fragments of roof-tiles have been noted {3}.

{4} NH 47 Listed as the possible site of a Roman villa.
