Full Description

{1} Worked flints, including a scraper were found in 1966 at TL 049888, Oundle.

{2} The finder is the son of the Biology Master at Oundle School. He is at college and could not be contacted. The indicated site is rough pasture. No finds were made.

{3} Prehistoric settlement (TL 048890), close to the River Nene on gravel at 60ft above OD. Worked flints, scrapers, and a barbed and tanged arrowhead have been found within and beyond the area covered by Roman settlement.

{4} Pehistoric Settlement (TL 048890). Among the worked flints found here are a core and a blade of Mesolithic type (CBA Research Report 20, (1977), 21; Peterborough Museum).

{5} Possible Mesolithic site, one core and blades and flakes found at this location (TL 0468900).
